On July 2, 2025, Keelung Fu Jen Sacred Heart Senior High School and Jing-Yeu International Ltd. jointly held an AI Creative Design Teacher Workshop. More than training in technical operations, it offered a complete journey from principles to practice. Teachers experienced how AI-generated images can become classroom activities and physical creative products, reflecting Sacred Heart’s educational emphasis on innovative thinking and practical action and laying the groundwork for future AI talent development. From operating image-generation tools to producing finished items, the workshop enabled teachers to make their own cultural and creative products while opening up a wealth of teaching ideas and possibilities.

From Principles to Practice: The Complete AI Image-Generation Journey

At the start of the workshop, Jing-Yeu International’s CEO personally guided teachers through the principles of AI image generation and introduced four major platforms commonly used in education and design:

  • Midjourney: Rich in artistic atmosphere and suited to creating fantasy and cinematic scenes.

  • Bing Image Creator (DALL·E technology): Easy to use and well suited to beginners and educational settings.

  • Stable Diffusion: Open-source flexibility supports deeper exploration of AI algorithms and model applications.

  • Canva AI: Combines a design platform with generative technology. Its intuitive operation makes it especially suitable for quick applications in teaching and creative product design.

Alongside these tools, the CEO highlighted the key to AI image generation: prompts. How an instruction is written directly affects whether the resulting image meets the user’s needs. Comparing examples such as “a cat sleeping on a sofa” immediately revealed the different styles produced by each platform, helping teachers judge which tools suit particular situations.

Slides showing actual images from each platform allowed teachers to compare their characteristics, strengths and limitations visually. The same keywords, for example, produced dreamlike images in Midjourney, while Canva AI leaned toward integrating text and images for practical design. These memorable comparisons also clarified when to use each platform:

  • Need a quick illustration for an English vocabulary word? Choose Bing Image Creator .

  • Want an image that makes students exclaim, “It looks like a movie scene”? Choose Midjourney.

  • Need a design ready for printing on a creative product? Choose Canva AI.

“Keywords → Images → Creative Products”: Taking AI Creations Beyond the Screen

Watching slides was only the beginning. The workshop’s highlight was hands-on practice: teachers used Canva AI to design images and printed them on leather notebook covers and keychain card holders. These notebooks and card holders are blank materials sold by our company. Heat transfer printing produced saturated colors and clear details, while the feel and quality of the finished pieces impressed many participants. After learning the entire process, from image generation and template design to physical printing, teachers began creating their own work. Some designed covers featuring the school’s distinctive plants and scenery; others combined a family of four with animal imagery for a warm, playful style. One teacher even transformed personal faith and deeply felt emotions into a beautiful image for a unique notebook.

We also displayed work created by teachers and students at previous school workshops and invited participants to view finished passport holders designed for other organizations. Seeing these examples shifted the discussion from “What can AI do?” to “We could do this in our classrooms too!” and sparked enthusiasm for creating and teaching.

Applications Across Subjects: Reimagining the Classroom

Throughout the session, we emphasized that “AI tools should support course design, rather than add to teachers’ workloads.” Generated images have considerable potential across language learning, art, English and technology literacy.

Language Arts: Translating Poetry into Images

Students can use Canva AI to visualize the imagery of a classical poem. For example, pairing “Quiet Night Thoughts” with a moonlit scene beside a window can deepen understanding and help students see the world within the poem.

English: Designing Everyday Scenarios

Teachers provide an English prompt, and students enter it to generate an image before describing it aloud or developing a piece of writing. Describing “My dream bedroom,” for instance, turns the image into a useful starting point for speaking and writing practice.

Art: Image Creation and Physical Output

Students create themed illustrations, such as “Taiwan’s Plants Through the Four Seasons” or a personal identity symbol, then print them on small cards or leather items, connecting hands-on making with digital art.

Technology: AI Applications and Critical Thinking

Because AI image generation involves machine learning, dataset bias and ethical questions, information technology teachers can guide students in examining its limitations. Questions such as “Why can AI find it difficult to depict East Asian faces?” or “Could this image raise copyright concerns?” extend technical learning into digital citizenship.

When AI Supports Creativity, Education Goes Beyond Passing on Knowledge

The workshop combined technical instruction with the practical task of turning ideas into real objects. It refreshed teachers’ understanding and broadened their vision for the future. Each participant experienced a creative journey from a virtual image to a physical object: developing an idea, communicating with AI through prompts, generating the desired image and printing it onto an item that became a unique gift. Afterwards, many teachers said the course helped them see AI’s practical possibilities in teaching. It was no longer merely a future technology, but a teaching tool they could start using today.

Why Is Sacred Heart Introducing AI?

Keelung Fu Jen Sacred Heart Senior High School has long upheld its educational motto, “Love God, country, parents, and people,” while emphasizing “innovative thinking” and “practical action” as important directions in student development.

As the AI era approaches, the school recognizes that education must do more than transmit knowledge: it must equip students with interdisciplinary integration skills, digital literacy and the ability to compete in the future. This workshop helped teachers learn AI tools while also preparing the way for the school’s AI classroom development. Through this classroom, Sacred Heart plans to apply AI creativity to school events, course design and creative gifts, and even develop student-led AI projects as part of a comprehensive AI talent development initiative.

From One Workshop to an Educational Vision

By the end of the workshop, teachers held AI-designed products they had made themselves and carried away many ideas for future lessons. Many said the experience revealed AI’s practicality and adaptability in education. It was no longer distant technology, but a teaching tool ready for use today.

The partnership between Sacred Heart and Jing-Yeu International made the workshop more than an event: it became a milestone in educational innovation. With AI supporting the classroom, students can learn not only to acquire knowledge, but also to create, put ideas into practice and build the capabilities they will need in the future.

We believe this journey should extend beyond a one-time event. These tools can become a regular part of classroom practice, helping teachers design lessons and students express themselves.

We look forward to more schools integrating AI image generation into information technology, art and language courses, making AI a catalyst for creative education. That seed has already begun to grow at Sacred Heart today.
