AI is quietly reshaping learning and creation. Future students will need more than programming, data analysis and web design: they must understand how to co-create with AI, interact with virtual environments and perform alongside technology. For business and computing education, this is both a challenge and an invitation for teachers and students to explore AI and virtual production, turn knowledge into creativity and make learning the beginning of future careers.

  • On October 21, 2025, Jing-Yeu International Ltd. led teachers and students from New Taipei Industrial Vocational High School’s Data Processing Department on an immersive visit to Red Pill Tech Ltd., exploring AI, motion capture and virtual characters.
Drawing a Virtual Future with Technology

Before describing the visit, we should introduce Red Pill Tech Ltd. and its technical capabilities.

Red Pill Tech Ltd. is a Taiwanese technology company specializing in AI, motion capture and virtual character generation. Its core expertise is capturing human movement without wearable sensors. Conventional motion capture often requires sensors, reflective markers or special suits. Red Pill instead uses minimal sensors, simpler camera arrangements and AI deep learning to capture movement, gestures and expressions in real time and turn them into avatar animation.

NeoCore: The Engine for Intelligent Tracking in Large Spaces

In Red Pill’s demonstration area, instructor RH introduced NeoCore’s functions and applications. Whereas many motion-capture systems focus on detailed tracking of individuals, NeoCore emphasizes simultaneous multi-person tracking and coordinated multi-camera processing across large spaces, monitoring participants and returning precise motion data in real time.

RH explained that NeoCore is built on the RedPill motion-model engine. Efficient AI vision algorithms and coordinated multi-camera processing track several users’ skeletal movements in real time without restricting them to fixed positions. Flexible camera deployment scales to the venue, supporting synchronized capture in lecture halls, sports facilities, performance stages and public interactive spaces.

RH demonstrated several mobile applications built around the RedPill motion model, including:

  • TEEMA Sports App: Sports-training games using motion capture;

  • HK Nursing Home App: Interactive applications for long-term care rehabilitation and health monitoring;

  • HTC Viverse App: Immersive exercise guided by virtual characters;

  • iFull365 Daily Fitness App: A daily interactive fitness system using 3D motion capture for real-time instruction and correction.

RH then introduced agentic AI. He emphasized that it is more than an intelligent search system: it is an intelligent agent architecture that actively perceives, understands and acts. Agentic AI has three main characteristics:

  1. Goal orientation: Reasoning automatically from user needs to propose optimal solutions;

  2. Self-adjustment: Learning and refining behavior as circumstances change;

  3. MCP cloud connectivity: Enabling cross-platform interaction and coordinated resources through cloud-based agents.

RH highlighted potential uses across sports training, game production and rehabilitation. For example, posture detection and exercise tracking can support rehabilitation patients through intelligent experiences combining physical and virtual elements.

To illustrate sports training, RH described a baseball player practicing a swing. The system analyzes the movement path and identifies instability, such as an arm held too high or a backward lean. The agent then sets a specific improvement target—for example, reducing the angle at which the arm rises above the head line by 5 degrees—and automatically matches supporting exercises from a motion database, including slow-motion visual playback, mirrored simulation and swing-path prediction.

During subsequent training, camera-detected movement deviations allow the system to automatically adjust the intensity of prompts and the scene settings, creating a closed-loop process of ongoing learning and real-time feedback. The agent interacts with the athlete, cameras, analytics modules and wider training ecosystem. It becomes an active partner in decisions and execution rather than a passive responder, illustrating AI’s potential in professional training and human–machine collaboration.

During the practical session, RH invited two students on stage for a live NeoCore test. The setup used six cameras to capture their movements simultaneously from different angles, demonstrating efficient multi-view detection.

RH explained that NeoCore does not require expensive specialist equipment: cameras need high resolution and a wide-angle view to track body movements, fingers, squatting and stair-climbing steadily and accurately. This setup allows an ordinary classroom or demonstration space to become a multi-camera capture environment. Users immediately see their posture translated into synchronized avatar movement and experience the enjoyment of interactive technology.

Redpillgo+: From Control to Creation

RH also addressed a common question: “If Redpillgo already exists, why introduce Redpillgo+, and how do they differ?”

He explained that RRedpillgo+ is an experimental advanced version of Redpillgo, emphasizing more accurate dual-camera motion capture and scene interaction. Beyond adding functions, the upgrade addresses accuracy and stability requirements in professional applications.

1. From Single-Point Tracking to Multi-Camera Fusion

The original Redpillgo supports personal motion capture, facial expression detection and voice recognition, driving avatars in real time with a single camera. In practice, however, one viewpoint can be limited by occlusion and viewing angles when capturing full-body movements or performance details.

Redpillgo+ therefore introduces a multi-camera integration algorithm connecting two or three cameras to capture joint positions and movement paths from different angles. This enables more complete skeletal estimation and movement reconstruction, improving stability and accuracy. RH demonstrated a synchronized three-camera setup in which walking, turning, gestures and extended limbs appeared smoothly, nearly eliminating the occlusion errors and joint drift commonly seen with one camera.

RH described Redpillgo+ as an important step from individual motion capture toward an intelligent avatar interaction system. AI-driven characters can be seen, perform together and respond intelligently, opening new possibilities for human–machine performance.

Air Grabbing: A New Approach to Gesture Interaction

Among the demonstrations, a particular highlight was Red Pill HandTrack and its Air Grabbing Interaction feature. Developed internally by the Red Pill Tech Ltd. team, it combines high-precision AI gesture recognition with 3D spatial depth computation and a real-time skeletal tracking model to capture hand movements and fingertip poses without wearable sensors or controllers.

When users naturally grasp, drag or rotate in the air, the system interprets hand-joint coordinates and movement vectors and translates them into commands within a virtual scene. Users can select, move, scale or rotate 3D objects precisely. Latency is below 50 milliseconds, creating a near-natural real-time experience. Multi-camera input and recognition of multiple users extend interaction beyond individuals to collaboration and stage performances.

Red Pill HandTrack also offers educational possibilities. With this technology, teachers can demonstrate virtual objects in class—for example, manipulating 3D chemical molecules, historical artifacts or architectural components in mid-air so students can examine details spatially. Students can control models and simulate experiments through gestures, experiencing an interface that feels like an airborne touch screen. It narrows the gap between physical and virtual environments, with applications in XR teaching, interaction design courses, virtual performances and rehabilitation simulations.

RH explained that Red Pill HandTrack’s development centers on replacing conventional interfaces with natural poses, allowing intuitive interaction without a mouse, controller or wearable device. Human–machine interaction is moving from sensor-based control toward perceptual understanding. As AI models and hardware improve, the technology could become key infrastructure for XR, smart classrooms and digital performances, advancing integration of physical and virtual worlds.

VRoid: A Workshop for Creating Virtual Characters

The instructor introduced software developed by Japan’s pixiv: VRoid Studio, a popular free 3D avatar-modeling application. Its guiding idea is to make creating a personal avatar accessible to everyone. An intuitive interface and comprehensive customization allow users without a 3D modeling background to design characters quickly.

VRoid Studio lets users customize facial proportions, hairstyles, clothing, poses and expressions, with real-time previews and animation. Completed characters can be exported in the standardized VRM format, compatible with many virtual platforms, game engines such as Unity and Unreal Engine, and VTuber streaming systems. This makes VRoid an important foundation for connecting Red Pill’s Redpillgo+ motion-capture system, the Warudo virtual-scene platform, and interactive XR teaching applications.

A Live Application Demonstration

RH demonstrated creating a 3D character from scratch, including appearance settings, detailed hair and clothing adjustments, real-time smile control and pose-export settings. In under twenty minutes, an avatar with highly lifelike expressions and movable poses was ready, illustrating VRoid Studio’s accessibility and flexibility.

RH noted its suitability for secondary and vocational education as a project tool in computing or multimedia design. Students could use it for avatar design projects”, “introductory metaverse content creation or digital character branding, extending programming and data-processing studies into 3D artistic creation and virtual performance while developing interdisciplinary design and technical skills.

Warudo: Bringing Virtual Worlds to Life

The instructor next introduced the Warudo virtual-scene and character integration platform, developed in collaboration with Red Pill. Its compatibility allows seamless connection with VRoid Studio and the Redpillgo+ motion-capture system, creating a complete virtual production workflow:

Create a character in VRoid Studio → export in VRM format → import into Warudo and configure the environment → capture individual movement and perform synchronously with Redpillgo+.

Warudo supports HDR rendering and multi-angle virtual cameras, allowing users to select lighting, camera views and scene transitions. Combined with live Redpillgo+ motion capture, avatars respond to users’ movements and expressions in real time to produce theater-like performances.

The Live Demonstration

RH imported a VRoid Studio character into Warudo and selected a virtual stage. Next, the Redpillgo+ single-person tracking module connected three cameras to capture RH’s movements and posture synchronously. The avatar accurately followed the instructor’s actions and expressions, completing a workflow in which live human movement drives a virtual character.

This integration demonstrated the immediacy and immersion of virtual production. Teachers and students saw the complete connection from character modeling and scene construction to multi-character interaction. For the Data Processing Department, it offered both a software demonstration and a concrete educational path from data processing to virtual production and creative content.

RH concluded that combining VRoid and Warudo could support future modules such as avatar creation and applications”, “3D animation and virtual performance projects, developing students’ ability to turn technology and creativity into commercially viable content and preparing them for metaverse and AI content production.
